Thematic Program: Nonlinear Flows

The thematic program will bring together researchers from nonlinear functional analysis, calculus of variations, partial differential equations, geometric, and stochastic evolution.

Relevant topics will include variational methods for nonlinear dissipative equations, possibly posed in spaces of probability measures, optimal transport, and Hamiltonian systems. Applications will likely cover phase-change, reaction-diffusion, materials theories, fluid and social dynamics.

The will be minicourses and series of lectures, as well as seminars by participants in residence. In addition, there will be two workshops:

    WS 1: Entropy methods, dissipative systems, and applications, June 13-17, 2016.

    WS 2: Variational and hamiltonian structures: models and methods, July 11-15, 2016.

The workshop WS2 is a Satellite Event of the 7th European Congress of Mathematics.
