During these 2 weeks research activity we plan to bring together researchers interested in residually finite groups and various geometric aspects of computation with infinite groups. They will include
specialists in geometric group theory, operator algebras, symbolic dynamics, and low-dimensional topology. In recent years there was a spectacular boost of interaction between these areas and mathematicians
working in different fields require such an international event to satisfy their common interest.

At the workshop, we will present a unified view on the actual state of art in algorithmic aspects of discrete groups, which should stimulate an exchange of ideas and promote collaboration between the participants.
We plan to invite 30-35 senior mathematicians, 10-15 graduate students and postdocs, and to offer 2 introductory mini-courses, each consisting of 4-5 lectures (see a brief description below), and
10-12 additional talks. The mini-courses will be aimed at the audience having no prior background in that field and should be of interest to algebraists, logicians, and geometers.

Mini-course I: Geometry of residually finite groups - M. Bridson (Oxford), A. Miasnikov (New York).
Mini-course II: Introduction to the space of marked groups - Y. Cornulier (Paris), V. Guirardel (Rennes).
