Abstract: In this talk I will discuss some definitions that try to make the concepts of superspace and supergroups as used by the physicists more mathematically well-defined. The focus is on algebraic supergroups, group superschemes and Lie superalgebras. Also the relation between Lie superalgebras in the sense of Kac and Lie superalgebras defined by functors is touched upon.
