Title: (Straight) Finite Decomposition Complexity for automata groups and box spaces
Speaker: JiaWen Zhang, (Universität Wien)
Abstract: Finite decomposition complexity (FDC) is a concept introduced by E. Guentner, R. Tessera and G. Yu to solve certain strong rigidity problem including the stable Borel conjecture. It generalizes finite asymptotic dimension. In this talk, I will first introduce the asymptotic dimensions for mother groups of bounded automata groups. Then I will turn to a particular subgroup of the mother group and show it has FDC. Finally, if time permits, I will introduce some relations between residually finite groups and their box spaces concerning FDC and sFDC.
