Dear Colleagues. Russian Academy of sciences asks international scientific community for support
27 June 2013 Russian Goverment and Minister of science and education
Livanov started a new reform, which is equivalent to a destruction of
the system of Academy institutes as the Steklov Institute, the Keldysh
Institute for applied mathematics,
LOMI (Sankt-Petersburg branch of the Steklov Institute), the Institute
for information transmition problems, the Sobolev Institute
(Novosibirsk).
During conversations in July 2013 President of Academy Fortov achieved a reasonable agreement with President Putin.
However in September 2013 after a 10-day information attack in
newspapers, TV, and Internet, the law in a regid form was passed through
Duma (18 September), Council of Federation (25 September), and
President (27 September)
