              Post-doctoral Research Fellow in
           Global and Multi-objective Optimisation

The Department of Aerospace, Power and Sensors at Cranfield
University, The Royal Military College of Science (RMCS) Shrivenham,
England invites applications for the above three-year research post,
with the salary range 316,969-325,503 Pounds (depending on qualifications
and experience).  The post is related to a project, funded by the UK
Ministry of Defence, aiming to use modern methods of global and
multi-objective optimisation to generate, evaluate and improve novel
guidance laws. Applicants with background in mathematics, optimal
control and optimisation techniques are preferred.

The expected start date is 1 October, 2000.
