When I booked the Hotel in September, I reassured the owner that only a flooding, a strike, an earthquake or a pandemic could prevent us to come. Since then, there have been floodings in the area, then an earthquake in the surroundings of the train station of Montelimar, which disrupted the bus traffic, allowing only one bus per day instead of four. This made it more difficult to reach the hotel, and in January, a long strike of the SNCF finished to discourage many potential participants.
And then came the corona pandemic ... At the beginning of March, only 20 participants remained registered, and one week later, we reached the absolute zero, when we had to cancel the meeting, a few days before the confinment was decreeted in France.
