**Title:** "Fraisse theory and universal objects in
group theory and metric geometry."

**Speaker:** Martino Lupini
(Universität Wien)

**Abstract:**
I will survey some constructions of universal homogeneous objects in group theory and metric geometry, and then explain how Fraisse theory provides a unified framework to describe these constructions. I will conclude with some ideas on how to use this perspective to produce more interesting examples of of universal homogeneous structures.
