Title: "Fraisse theory and universal objects in group theory and metric geometry."
Speaker: Martino Lupini (Universität Wien)
Abstract: I will survey some constructions of universal homogeneous objects in group theory and metric geometry, and then explain how Fraisse theory provides a unified framework to describe these constructions. I will conclude with some ideas on how to use this perspective to produce more interesting examples of of universal homogeneous structures.
