Abstract:
The first hour will be a crash course in Geometric Group Theory.
The second hour will be an expository talk on the current state of the quasiisometry classification of right angled Artin groups (RAAGs). I will introduce RAAGs, briefly mention rigidity results of Huang, and then talk about recent results of Margolis adapting techniques of myself and Martin to RAAGs.
