Title: Geometry and complexity of positive cones
Speaker: Yago Antolin (Universidad Complutense de Madrid)
Abstract: A group is left-orderable if it admits a total order invariant under left-multiplication. Left orders can be codified through positive cones, the set of elements greater than the neutral element. We will discuss some results about the geometry of positive cones, focusing whether they are coarsely connected or not. We will also discuss the language theoretical complexity of some positive cones, focusing on whether those cones can be described by a regular languages. The talk will be based on joint works with J. Alonso, J. Brum, C. Rivas and HL Su.
