2.6 Anti-aliasing

Cf. [FvDFH90, 3.17] and [PK87, 3.10].

Aliasing lines with slope $ k\ne 0$ leads to ugly looking jagged edges also called staircasing. We could improve the appearance by increasing the resolution, but this is rather memory- and time-consuming.
