How to get there (short information, a detailed text is available)

    The Schoental monastery is situated in the Hohenlohe county
    in Southwest Germany, about halfway between Stuttgart 
    and Wuerzburg.
    
    Access by car via autobahn A81 (Wuerzburg-Heilbronn)
                   or autobahn A6  (Nuernberg-Heilbronn)
                   
    Access by train: the closest railway station is Moeckmuehl,
    on the track between Wuerzburg and Heilbronn.
    There is a bus from Moeckmuehl to Schoental. There are
    only few buses on Sunday.
    
About accomodation:

Most participants will be accomodated in the Bildungshaus
itself (monks cells, but nicely renovated); some participants
who registered rather late and desire a single room will
be accomodated in the Pension Zeller, a few steps from the
monastery. All meals (including breakfast) for all
participants will be served at the Bildungshaus.

How (much) to pay:

The charge per day is DM 114 (single) or DM 94 (double)
We will add a small amount for drinks, guided tour, etc.

IMPORTANT: you can only pay by EUROCHEQUE or CASH!!!
The Bildungshaus is not (yet) branched on electronic
cash systems and, unfortunately, does not (yet) accept
credit cards. 
There are bank offices in nearby towns and villages, 
but not at the monastery itself.

About the schedule:

    The rough schedule is as follows:
    
    Sunday: see remarks in the text "how to get there"
    
    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (morning):
            
            breakfast from 8:15 to 9:00
            talks
            lunch at 12:15
            Kaffee+Kuchen around 15:00
            talks
            supper at 18:30
            
A guided tour (in English) of the monastery is scheduled 
for Monday at 14:00. Don't miss!

Departure is after lunch+coffee on Wednesday

About the program:

As announced, we will have invited lectures by 
Marko Petkovsek and Volkmar Welker,
plus a rather large number of contributed talks 
of 20 or 30 minutes time. Check the web pages of the
SLC for details.
This will result in a rather tight schedule.

upon arrival.
